SOLAR-THERMAL WATER / RAVERK

Modular solar-thermal water desalination

We develop a transportable system for producing fresh water from salt water using solar heat. Our modular desalination approach brings solar collection, thermal storage and water treatment together in an integrated container format.

01

How solar desalination works

Our technology combines solar heat collection, thermal storage and vacuum evaporation and condensation. Water evaporates under reduced pressure and the vapour condenses into fresh water, while the remaining brine becomes more concentrated.

What we have already built

We built and tested a laboratory MVP to explore the theory and operating principles. Our calculations support the approach. The next step is to tune the integrated system and document its performance at a representative scale.

Prototype No. 1: a transportable 40-foot system

We are raising funding to assemble a complete 40-foot prototype for pilot testing, tuning, exhibitions, demonstrations and customer presentations. This sample will support sales development and preparation for subsequent serial production.

What we will measure

We plan to measure freshwater output, water quality, solar input, thermal storage and heat losses, including the effects of ambient and inlet-water temperatures. Tests across different sites and seasons will show how the integrated system performs in practice. Calculated output targets are not measured production.

One platform. Three deployment pathways.

RAVERK is developing one core solar-thermal water technology in mobile, modular commercial and future industrial configurations.

01

ALPHA-1

The current transportable 40-foot prototype pathway for pilot testing, demonstrations and customer presentations.

02

ATLAS-1

A planned modular commercial configuration in which multiple units can be connected for larger site requirements, subject to prototype validation.

03

TITAN

A future building-scale and infrastructure integration pathway. Its scope and output will be defined after validation of the modular platform.

RAVERK Green Planet restoration concept

Green Planet restoration programme

Green Planet is RAVERK’s planned pathway for connecting water production with planting, irrigation, monitoring and long-term ecosystem restoration. Tree records, certificates and ecological outcomes depend on site-specific implementation and verification.

One project, several funding scales

€100,000 is our minimum planning target to start building the complete prototype, not a single subsystem. Approximately €435,000 supports a lean launch; €1.45 million is the working budget for the full programme. More funding enables a larger paid team and parallel work. We will recalculate the remaining work and capital needs as we progress.
